A combination of factors can cause facial lines. It’s not just about the cellular changes that may occur, or reduction of collagen, or damage caused by free radicals from the sun and the environment.

Repeated muscle contractions from frowning, squinting, or raising eyebrows cause skin to furrow and fold, gradually resulting in the formation of facial lines. Neuromodulators work beneath the surface and temporarily reduces the underlying muscle activity that causes moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines in adults – to help them look visibly smoother.

WILL MY FACE LOOK OVERDONE OR UNNATURAL?

Having Botox or any other neuromodulator injected is a technique-sensitive treatment. You can trust that your treatment will deliver subtle results when you are treated by someone who is licensed, trained, and a medical expert in facial anatomy. So you’ll look like yourself—only with less noticeable lines. No one should be able to tell you’ve had anything done.

WILL I SEE RESULTS QUICKLY? HOW LONG DO TREATMENT EFFECTS LAST?

You may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours, with results lasting up to four months for moderate to severe frown lines. Remember that results vary from patient to patient though, so Jennifer will plan your next appointment based on your results and aesthetic goals. HOW LONG IS THE RECOVERY TIME AFTER TREATMENT?

Treatment requires minimal downtime. So you can return to your daily routine immediately after you leave our office.

Treatments with neuromodulators such as BOTOX® Cosmetic are customized to your goals and needs. When you meet with Jennifer, she will determine the appropriate treatment for any areas you wish to address, including moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines.

HOW MUCH TIME DOES TREATMENT TAKE? WILL IT HURT?

The actual injection process takes a quick 10 minutes. Jennifer will discuss your treatment goals and perform a facial analysis to determine the appropriate treatment areas for you. Then, some patients report that being injected feels like a pinch. Jennifer may use ice to numb the treatment area prior to the injection, or, if you are concerned about discomfort, she may apply a topical numbing cream before administering your treatment.

Treatment requires minimal downtime. So you can reapply makeup and return to your daily routine immediately after you leave our office.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are fabulous for adding volume and shape to cheeks, lips, tear troughs, marionette lines, and smile lines. By adding volume, you get the effect of ‘Lifting” your face and creating the heart-shaped face of youth. These fillers are made of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance in the skin that delivers nutrients, helps the skin retain moisture and softness, and adds volume.

We offer a variety of fillers to help create a natural look. Fillers are selected based on the patient’s needs and where the filler will be placed. It is important to have an experienced injector who is familiar with the properties of each filler to perform your treatment. Jennifer has been injecting patients and teaching other injectors how to inject for over 10 years.

For areas that need a more substantial or “thicker” filler, we use Restylane Lyft, Juvederm Voluma and Radiesse. These fillers allow us to “lift” and create volume in your

For smile lines, lips and areas that need a softer product to smooth your lines, we use Restylane Classic, Juvederm Ultra Plus and Juvederm Vollure. For more dynamic lines that occur when you smile or have facial expressions, we use a more” stretchy” filler like Restylane Defyne or Refyne.

For areas with superficial lines around the lips and crows feet we can use very soft fillers like Restylane Silk and Juvederm Volbella.

What is the treatment experience like?

Your treatment begins with Jennifer taking your medical history and providing a facial analysis. Be prepared to discuss your aesthetic areas of concern. This is not a surgical treatment. Actual treatment with dermal fillers can take 15 minutes to 60 minutes, depending on which area of your face is being treated.

When will I see results?

Unlike neuromodulators like Botox which take several days to begin working, with dermal fillers, you will see results immediately/instantly.

How long do the results last?

Results may last one year to two years, with optimal treatment and depending on the formula used. Please read each product description to see how long results last with each formula, based on what was observed in clinical studies.

What are some of the side effects with dermal fillers?

The most commonly reported side effects with dermal fillers are injection-site redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, firmness, lumps/bumps, bruising, discoloration, and itching. You will typically swell in the area you were injected for 48 to 72 hours. You also may experience some uneven swelling which will dissipate over the next 2 weeks. Bruising is a common side effect, but resolves without a problem in 5 to 7 days.
