Hormone Balancing

Feel like you aren’t benefiting from supplements and diets? It may be your hormones in the way.
When it comes to health, hormones and gut bacteria have a much bigger effect than many people realize. In fact, these two factors can destroy your health even if everything else (diet, supplements, etc.) is optimized. Hormones can even affect the healing of brain trauma.
From mood, to weight, to bowel health, hormones play a position in them all.
Some symptoms include:
•    Fatigue
•    Skin issues
•    Weight gain
•    Trouble sleeping
•    Always sleeping
•    PMS
•    Endometriosis
•    Infertility
•    Chronic joint pain
•    Decreased Exercise tolerance

Detoxification – Bio-toxicity & Neurotoxicity

Have you been diagnosed but traditional methods don’t seem to be effective? It may involve detoxification.
Biotoxicity occurs when environmental toxins (from molds, insect bites, heavy metals, food preservatives, or other harmful chemical agents) are introduced into the body of a person who lacks the proper liver enzymes to break down and eliminate the toxins from his or her system.
The problem is, if the underlying cause of your pain or illness is biotoxicity or neurotoxicity and your treatment plan does not include a detoxification regimen, your overall recovery is very likely to be incomplete and far slower than it needs to be.
Painful symptoms of this condition may manifest as a variety of disease conditions including:
•    Fibromyalgia
•    Migraine or chronic headaches
•    Depression
•    Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)/Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
•    Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
•    Chronic Lyme Disease
•    Recurrent sinus infections or chronic sinusitis
•    Asthma that is unresponsive to conventional therapy
•    Psoriatic arthritis
•    Celiac disease
•    Irritable bowel syndrome
•    Rheumatoid arthritis

Metabolic Medicine

Do you feel like your body is no longer converting your food to energy efficiently?
Metabolism is the process your body uses to get or make energy from the food you eat. Food is made up of proteins, carbohydrates and fats. Chemicals in your digestive system break the food parts down into sugars and acids, your body’s fuel. Your body can use this fuel right away, or it can store the energy in your body tissues, such as your liver, muscles and body fat.
At OCH, we identify the areas of breakdown of the normal metabolic process and restore them to full functioning through supplying the missing nutrient or hormone, or by encouraging the release of personal stress, realigning the body, readjusting the immune system, and working to prevent future recurrence of the problem. This process takes time and careful study.
A metabolic disorder occurs when abnormal chemical reactions in your body disrupt this process. When this happens, you might have too much of some substances or too little of other ones that you need to stay healthy.

Nutritional Imbalance and IV Nutrition

Don’t wait until it is too late to ensure your body is being feed properly. Neglect can lead to serious diseases.
Nutritional imbalance can be caused by an inability of the body to absorb certain nutrients or result from a poor diet. Proteins, carbohydrates and fats are the big three macronutrients. Carbohydrates are your main energy source. At OCH we will order lab work to assist us in determining exactly what your needs are. The customized plan is based on a combination of the goals of the patient and the specific deficiencies identified. IV nutrition is always an option as a method to restore vitamins, minerals and amino acids directly in to the blood stream. Oral intake may either not be possible or one could not tolerate the amount of nutrients needed in a brief period of time. If you are looking for a quicker way to recover after intense athletic training, then IV Nutritional therapy may help your body recover and make you feel better. IV Nutrition therapy is particularly helpful since there are many vitamins and supplements that are not well absorbed. There are specific protocols we use to increase energy, a sense of well being, improve sports performance and recovery/healing, enhance immune function and provide stress relief.

We work with you to come up with a plan to manage this balance.

If you are suffering from the following conditions:

•    Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
•    Chronic Depression
•    Fibromyalgia
•    Asthma
•    Seasonal Allergies
•    Sinusitis
•    Acute and Viral Illnesses

Protocols include:

•    Myers Cocktail
•    Glutathione
•    IV Vitamin C
•    and Customized Strategies

Migraine Mediation – Botox Injections

Still suffering from chronic migraine headaches? You may want to consider this procedure.
Botox is a Neurotoxin that targets the neuromuscular junction (NMJ). Botox will block nerve impulses to the targeted muscle by selectively preventing the release of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine at the NMJ. The result of this block is a decrease in muscle activity, which will influence ones perception of pain. It is also postulated to decrease pain through its influence on the pain sensory system by inhibiting neurotransmitters involved in the transmission of the pain sensation.
Botox is FDA approved to treat the following conditions:
•    Increased muscle stiffness in the elbow, wrist and finger muscles due to spasticity
•    Abnormal head position and neck pain associated with cervical dystonia
•    Chronic Migraine Headaches
•    It can be used to treat some conditions that are not addressed in this office including abnormal eye movements

Genetic Testing

Learn as much as you can about yourself to better prepare for the future.
Genetic testing involves examining your DNA to reveal changes or alterations in your genes that may cause illness or disease. Although genetic testing can provide important information for diagnosing, treating and preventing illness. Despite the progress we have made in this important area of medicine there are some limitations. Our goal is to make our patients aware of findings and give guidance based on experience.
